Marner will want at least $10M I would imagine... you're not far off here, I think it is Kap or Andreas that needs to go to make things work realistically

As far as the GM goes, this is good.

I would rather see Nylander on Matthews' wing. Playing 3rd line minutes will hurt his game. This is a coaching problem though...

Yep, the Leafs have to trade somebody(s) for picks or NHL prospects as you suggest. Agree with nchest above, the Leafs can't count on Liljegren next year. Nylander to centre seems like the best move for Leafs if Kadri goes. This 3C fear ??????. Kadri scored 30 goals allegedly as 3C, when he actually scored 13 goals as LWer on the PP. Nylander would see lots of PP time.

Liljegren likely doesn't even make the team, I agree with that, so what is more likely, hainsey taking a pay cut (1.2 mil), rosen being called up or signing or trading for a decent defenseman?
