I really hope the Flyers don’t go after Hayes or Duchene. The second Patrick breaks out offensively both of those contracts would end up looking like mistakes

I just wanted to see what it would look like with Duchene. I am back and forth on wanting Duchene, but he does play wing too so once Frost is ready to be a full time center Duchene could switch over to wing. 6 years would take him to 34 years old so he should be a solid player throughout the contract but that is so much money to hand out for a future winger on the team.

I'm ok with bringing a Duchene type player, even if Patrick has a breakout year, rolling 3 solid centers is a main ingredient in a Stanley Cup winning team. If Frost shows up to camp and proves he is ready to play this year I really think he will be moved to wing. This would bump AKN down to the Phantoms (sorry bud) and Raffl as the extra forward.

Not sure how I feel about the other UFA signings. Elliott always got the crapped on by everyone but the team in front of him just wasn't very good and he stole the show a few times. That being said I want a more durable backup.

I wouldn't mind the Flyers going after Duchene because he can play both wing and center so once Patrick breaks out and Frost is ready Duchene can simply slide to a wing spot to play out the rest of his deal
