No need to give up the 8th overall to move sekera hes still valuable an had a hell of a wc hed be playing top minutes in Ottawa sekera an a 3rd for like a 6th would work

Sekera is a capable NHL defensman. Trading the 8th overall selection as well as a quality defensman for a 3rd is an extremely stupid idea. Sekera’s contract is an overpay, but definitely not worth trading a 1st just to rid his contract.

Kessel has a 8 team trade list, No way in hell Edmonton is on it. Pretty sure he said no to Minny. So no way he waives it for Edmonton.

Oilers pass on Kessel. Pittsburgh wants to trade him for a reason. Holland wouldn't touch him. I'm not a fan of the Sekera deal either... maybe a 2nd and Sekera, but no way does Holland trade his 1st.
