In hindsight, not nearly enough value going back to NJ for their biggest/best asset. And possibly not enough back to Tor, (even though the point of the Tor deal is to create cap room for their big boys to sign)

Zaitsev for Honka is fair. Pitlick, Gleason, 4th for Kapanen not at all fair.

Probably. The thought process is that Tor gets a bottom 6 F on the cheap, plus a pick and a prospect, in order to save $2 Mil+ toward Marner and Johnsson, as well as saving close to $4 Mil on Zaitsev.

New Jersey won’t be competitive this season and Hall only has 1 year left. They’d probably wait and move him nearer the deadline, but a 1st and a good prospect might do it.

But, as It says in the title “it would never happen.” I mainly wanted to see what Stars roster would look like with Hall and Kap.
