Ken Holland first trade

Created by: a1111
Team: 2019-20 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: May 26, 2019
Published: May 26, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I love Shaw a lot , he is a favorite of mine for a long time . But we have too much depth if possible and EDM need that kind of leadership and refuse to die mentality so this is a total fit .

Would be happy if u dislike it , just an idea about a fit for a player .

I agree Shaw could be a good fit but he is not worth two seconds. you get two seconds if lucic is added in

I don't think Shaw is the one we should be moving. He is undervalued, found great chemistry with Domi last season and I love the grit they bring together + Montreal values him more than any other team (at least from fans perspective). In terms of asset management, I think Tatar would be the right move due to his very good value and contract, but that's a really tough trade to make. That would be a heartbreaker. In any case, we'll have to move one or maybe even two good forwards that fans like to make room for prospects coming up.

This is the first time in his career that he has broken the 40 point mark. He has missed 60 games over the past three years with a history of concussions. He is a third line grinder who brings a lot of heart that is overpaid by about a million. A good guy to have on your team, not if you are up against the cap like the Oilers. I'd be more interested in what you mentioned previously specifically Armia. Not going to give two seconds for him as he has never even broken 30 points but I'd do a second.

47 pts in 63 games . You haven't seen him play this year that for sure . Alexis Lafreniere will make the difference for your oilers don't worry . We just have too many good wingers , Armia for a second ? lets do it ! i'd rather keep Shaw in that scenario , thanks.

You are right I have not gotten to watch him much this year and I understand that he was a terrific player for the habs this year - as you previously said he and Domi. I am just saying that for the Oilers I am weary to make this deal as we can't really afford to. I think another year like the one he just and teams will be chomping for him but I don't think that Edmonton is the fit
