Why would u trade marner for meier when u can get 4 first from a team which wont be very good
lastly why are u basicly giving bracco away in the brown deal. Connor does not have a bad contract plus bracco has the most point in the AHL

Calgary would own Kapanens rights in this situation, but thats about on par for a bridge deal for Kappys numbers (look at Teravainens post ELC deal).
Id rather have a guaranteed quality player than 4 unknown and hypothetical first round picks. (Offersheet isn't guaranteed)
And lastly IMO Bracco is still a ways away from the NHL. I dont love his game, he'd be the first prospect id move if it meant upgrading the Leafs.

Ohhhhh that Marner deal is though, but neither team would do it IMO. Too much trouble for not much of an upgrade OV, except a little cap saving for TOR

Why not trade Matthews, Marner, Kapanen, Kadri, Johnsson and Nylander to the Oilers for McDavid, Draisaitl, RHN, Lucic, Puljujarvi and Larsson. Makes perfect sense in the Harold Ballard kind of way.
