Chevy asked Stevie for Hronek for Trouba straight up and Stevie said no. Add in 6th overall and Bertuzzi? Damn dude I try to be constructive with these but this is so astronomically high cost there's not much I can offer. I don't see a deal involving Connor happening. He's great but I don't see the Wings pursuing him in addition to Trouba if 6th overall and Bertuzzi are the cost. I'd counter with 2 2nd's (including pick 35) and Gustav Lindstrom for just Trouba. Any more and I don't see a deal working out, he just wouldn't be worth the cost to a rebuilding team when we can have cost controlled assets instead.

Inferred from the Athletic's Murat Ates.

the Red Wings said that Filip Hronek is completely off the table, but Winnipeg has inquired about some draft picks. The Red Wings have three 2nd round picks this upcoming draft and would be willing to part ways with one or two of them to acquire Trouba

ahahaha.. not true! McKenzie and Dreger reported today that up to 15-20 teams have inquired about Trouba and Chevy has not entertained any offers or set an asking price from anyone. His main goal is to sign Trouba and until he gets a solid not interested he will not talk any players. Also stated, even though every one talks about 1 year rental. The Jets will get at minimum a 1st and top pairing dman for Trouba without a sign and trade in place. The haul will be much greater if a sign and trade is in place. This is all on TSN, not sure where anyone gets their information. Also, while every one believes he wants to play in his hometown, this is not the case. His preferred destination is to be with his girlfriend in Florida. Yzerman and Chevy have never discussed a trade! While I do believe Hronek would not be involved, they would have to pony up someone to his caliber.
