What's the knock (if that's fair) on Connor Brown if most people are trading him for a 3rd rounder? I'm asking because I thought he was a pretty good prospect but haven't seen him play very much. Too many similar, better players on Toronto? Who does he compare to?

His value is down. He is imo the best defensive forward on the Leafs. He drives his opponents crazy with his usage of stick. Always in right spot but he really fell down offensively where he drives his teammates crazy. He has potential to be in more offensive role and put up 20+20 consistently.

I trade Brown for a 2nd and I got roasted so idk it’s all opinions. Last season didn’t help his value any not that he was bad just didn’t get much opportunity

Once fans get an idea in their heads they run with it. He is the Leafs best PKer but once Marner the wonder boy started killing penalties fans assumed there was no need for Brown. Never mind Marner is average at best on the PK
