Callahan to Detroit is interesting .. contrary to the fantasy stats folks here who dont understand leadership and balls and team chemistry win titles .. Callahan has 1 last year left to lead and set example for young team .. he did it in Tampa as most forget (not wussy Stamkos) ... Detroit Buffalo Rangers and Devils would ALL benefit from Callahan for 1 year .. those team are couple years from CUP anyway and those locations are in Northeaat where Callhan is from .. to say he would cost a 1st rounder for ONE year contract that is just silly.. I bet there is multiple teams interested in Callhan .. will Tampa get alot?.. of course not .. will it cost them? .. no ..

Also ZERO chance Adam Erne gets $2M contract .. look for him to be traded in package as a sweetener.. he totally replaceable by Crunch guys

CHI's not doing that trade. A promising 1st round pick and a 2nd for TJ?!?! Not close to value. Maybe send TJ and Callahan to CHI for a meh prospect and the 2020 2nd?

I agree that he's somewhat under-rated. If he got more ice time and wasn't behind a number of other studs...then we could see an increase in his production. The counterpoint to that is...he isn't earning more ice time and prospects are coming up and winning more ice time from him. Anyway...From the CHI perspective...why give up assets when Kevin Hayes is out there? Kevin Hayes is just an example...that's also not intended to be the point I'm trying to make. I'm just saying there are options out there in UFA...where QUALITY prospects and picks don't have to go anywhere.
