1. Why do you think Marner is worth 11.5 and for only 6 years. That makes him the highest paid wing in hockey which quite frankly is an over pay by a bunch. Shouldn’t that mean we get 8 years.

2. The trade is a crazy over pay. Yes I realize you are getting rid of marleau’s cap hit and it means you can keep both Johnson and kapanen but breaking it down, Martinez for Brown and a prospect is reasonable but the prospect should be Holl or Rosen or Lindgren, not Holloway.
Giving a first for dumping Marleau is reasonable since you get to keep one of johnsson or Kapanen is okay.
Throwing in Zaitsev for free is crazy. He is not worthless and can be traded elsewhere.
