It's hilarious that we submitted similar teams right after each other.

I think you low-balled Carlo, no top 4 defensemen are signing for that little for that long.

I could see McAvoy getting a bridge, and if he does that AAV is reasonable.

You have Johansson signing for less than he makes now, that will literally never happen after his play in the post-season. He's making $5.5+

Gryz can't be Krug yet, and after a SCF run I don't see the Bruins getting rid of him during Bergeron's window

I could be wrong but shipping their top defenseman in terms of point by a mile is kind of major. ??‍♂️

Johansson has been injury plagued the last 2 years and I doubt that he will get as much as he had before. He's having an exceptional playoff yes but salary is for the regular season too. I also think he has enjoyed playing with Coyle and would take somewhere between 4-5 to stay and compete for cups in Boston.

In terms of Krug, they can't afford him after this year anyways and he's been heavily rumored in trades for the better part of 3 seasons. He isn't great defensively although he has stepped up in the playoffs. His trade value is through the roof right now. Wether Sweeny decides to move him or not remains to seen but I think it would be a good move for optimizing assets.

Moving Krug allows Boston to resign MOJO and Boston is a lot deeper within their defence prospects then at wing. I think Lauzon or Vaak could slide into the linup fairly easily.

Other then the Krug part I think we're onto something though lol. Just had a look at your team and liked it haha

I think you're going to regret not signing McAvoy long term. The kid reminds me of Drew Doughty. Sign him to the Ekblad contract before he becomes a top 10 defender in the league

I agree.

But he doesn't want to sign long term. Says that he wants a bridge deal and i'd say hes gonna get what he wants haha

Yes and no... The Powerplay definitely took a hit when Krug was out... HOWEVER, Griz can definitely step up (following a VERY similar path to Krug) , and Urho can kinda fill in his role ... so technically this is just role changes, but very similar (and younger) guys

Power play was still 20% when Krug was out to start the year and with more reps they would only get better
