Seriously. I've seen posts here saying Shaw and a 2nd, I've seen posts that say a 1st, a good prospect plus. I guess part of that is if he extends or not and at how much, but what do you think good value for one year of Brodie is?

I'm not sure having Shaw and Matthew Tkachuk is a good idea mind you. Bad linemates if you don't like stress testing your PK every night.

IF Montreal plans on using a RD on LD, might as well sign Karlsson (if rumours are true). 0 assets lost.

I understand Brodie has played LHD before but Karlsson has not. Plus Karlsson would cost 10m easily and Brodie is half that so we can still afford a Duchene, Nyquist, etc.

Yeah but Karlsson costs $10M because hes the best D in the world when healthy. Brodie, is not even close.

I was looking at the Anaheim Ducks Stanley cup winning team and I think they had like 6 LHD. Pronger = Weber, Neidermayer = Karlsson.

If the best defenseman in the world cant play on the other side, there are some issues. This NEED for every team to suddenly copy Babcock, is a bit much.

Talent is also far greater in Karlsson. Do you want a franchise defenseman for 7 years? Brodie is not that.
