Deff dont hate it. Really depends on what Kerfoot is asking in RFA talks. If hes will to accept a bridge deal around 3 million give or take. i think its good vaule. But if hes trying to get a 6 year deal and wanting around 4.5 million. it doesnt make sense for us.

Replace Kadri with Kapanen.

I think if you could do Kadri marleau for either keerfoot or Jost that is a good deal for the leafs. I don’t even mind retaining on Marleau.

So if Kerfoot gets lets say kadris 4.5, you still have Zats on the books. You still dont have enough cap for Kap, Johnsson and Marner. If Kerfoot would do a bridge deal I would love it. I think he be an ideal 3rd line center for us.

Kerfoot ain’t touching 4.5, at least not if COL extends him. I’m expecting a bridge somewhere between 3.5-4M, but he shouldn’t get 4. I personally don’t love him as a player, but he’s got great playmaking skills that could do really well in TOR’s talented top6.

I really like Kapanen, too, and would be stoked if the Avs got him, but Kadri is exactly what the Avs need at 2C. And this price is too steep for Kap. If it’s Kapanen+Marleau, I’d offer the Leafs 2019 2nd + a prospect like Nick Henry. Not sure that gets it done, but I wouldn’t value him nearly as highly as Kadri.

Yeah, my only worry is that he's starting to regress a little. I think Compher's growing into a guy that you can surround with more talent and rely on him. Though potentially at 3C. Only time will tell.

I’m not worried too much about Kadri’s regression over this contract. His stats dropped this year cuz the Tavares’s signing pushed him down the lineup, so I think he gets back to the 30g/60p guy he was if he’s our 2C If we extend, yeah it’s a question, but he’ll be 31 at the end of this deal, which is when you start worrying about age. If the Avs draft a C at 4, it’s perfect timing for Turcotte/Dach/Krebs/Cozens to take over.
