Agree with El_yogi... too much for Brodie. Also, the EDM trade is iffy. I realize that you likely made the EDM trade to make your numbers fall under the cap but that scenario would not make much sense if you were the actual GM. Why pick up Lucic at $6mil when both Weise and Peca will be UFA's following next season and off the books, leaving Alzner at a little over $4.5 mil. Also, being that close to the cap would put you in a pickle if you ever had injuries and had to make moves during the season.

How does packaging up all the ****ty contract help either Montreal or Edmonton? Lucic is too slow for the East and that's not something that is likely to rectify itself. At least the three Habs' contracts can be buried in the minors.
