i would be jumping with joy if this happened, but we'd still be in cap hell. Maybe move Miller and Serg as a package.

Not sure if those Tampa NTCs just waive their rights. And some of these players are really a difficult trade without taking money back in return....other teams have their cap issues and having better ways to spend their cap.

Dream scenario BUT .. no damaged goods EVER and trade Sergachev and/or Miller for top 4 RD .. maybe a Trouba .. was really impressed with balls of Panarin against Bruins .. he would immediately be our top playoff forward ..

As FYI for non Tampa fans .. Johnson Killorn Miller Gourde and Palat .. affectionately known as the "Middle 5" .. are all high value trade guys .. mid 20s Good LT contracts and average between 0.5 and 0.7 points per game .. we just dont need 5 of them and need room for 2 to 3 bigger Crunch guys and 1 to 2 bigger UFA forwards .. the middle 5 ALL have muitple suitors with Miller the ace in hole who I would love to keep and move to 2C . NO need to fire sale any of them and won't need to. Now Callahan on the other hand .. lol .. look for buyout for only 2.5M in 2019 and 1.7M in 2020 ..very manageable if trade doesnt happen

All good ideas. Personally wouldn’t trade half my core to get a couple UFAs but maybe Tampa is fed up with falling short

Lol would require WAY more than a late first and rutta. That’s a terrible trade

I know right? Lucky us. Because it's not like he wouldn't take that deal coming off another injured year that required surgery once again to play with last years Norris winner and best friend Victor Hedman (who signed the same deal on a longer term) and be on a serious cup contender every year and enjoy the quality of life Tampa has to offer. It's just so hard to believe. ?
