over or underpayment?

boyd scored 20 points in 53 games.......37ppg and he was playing 4th line minutes. I imagine given a better opportunity his points would go up
Luca jo is 1/2 the caps best d prospects and should be nhl ready
Stephenson is a solid bottom 6 guy and has good speed

Leivo had 24 points is 76 nhl games.... .31 ppg..... hes about as good s boyd on paper and they are about the same age....

Luca jo imo is worth a 2nd-3rd round pick. Stephenson is worth a 4-5th round pick.... added them to the trade to balance my unintended bias

Severe overpayment by the Caps for Leivo. I wouldn't even do Johansen straight up for him.

you wouldn't get him 1 for 1.... but thats fine. Stephenson and boyd don't have that crazy of value/ severe overpayment would be vrana...not 2 4th line players and lhd prospect thats been leapfrogged 2x

Johansen has top 3 D potential. Still very young. Leivo at best is a very good 3rd liner.

in 119 Ahl games he has 41 points and plays bottom pairing? hes also a -27. wheres the logic on him being a top 3 potential? points aren't everything but I don't see anything that says hes going to be anything special.... caps have a log jam at lhd and hes not special enough to keep and his value isnt anything crazy

Well his first season was part of that horrific Bears team. Then his 2nd season, last season, he missed 2 months to an injury, which blows for development. I wouldn't give up on him yet. Has high end skating, hockey IQ, and first pass. Has all the tools to be at least a good 2nd pairing defensemen. I'm not arguing we have a logjam of LHD, in fact, I think we should trade Johansen this summer, but it should be for something good, not just alright. Package him with something to get a good top 6 winger.

capitasl traded forsberg for erat and latte does that make his current value less>? Larson for hall......ror for basically a 1st a cap dump and 2 average players? is that his return now? awful logic. boyd and leave are close to equals Luca jo is far from a top d prospect ......he plays 3rd pairing in Hershey lmfao hesworth maybe a 3rd round pick........

The guys a MAX 30 point getter.. if u put him belongs aka third/fourth line hes getting 20-30 points... Levio was just pushed up in the lineup hence why did okay with 18 points in 49 games.. and why give up of luca jo? its still so early

dumbest trade ive seen on cap friendly in a while... lets not forget leafs scratched levio for 2 years

dumbest take and most simplistic take on a trade I've seen in awhile..... boyd isnt that great and I honestly wish they played barber over him.... hes suppose to be a center but lacks the ability to play center well.....hes a center that had to transition into a winger.....Luca jo will be 27 before hes able to crack the capitals big team roster........

"pushed up the line up" in van.....they aren't a power house team bud.....

yes you just proved my point.. they dont have anyone else so they threw him on the second/first line, which he isnt that type of player

and just because u have depth at a position doesnt mean u trade a prospect.. the guys a first round pick 3 years ago and dman develop later than most...

hes been leaped frogged a few times already in the depth charts......like the capitals traded bowey away right? capitals don't need all 8 lhd prospects they have currently......if he was a rhd it would be different but hes not and capitals are in a win now mode so we are hunting for the better players....tomorrow doesnt matter as much as today
