Description
Throw it in next year. Get prospects and give them ice time to get experience for when Kirill Kaprizov is signed for the 2020-2021 season.

The value of these trade are probably a little off, but my goal was to get young players to surround Kaprizov with in a year or two.

Quick breakdown of the trades. Again this would be a complete rebuild solution.

CAR Trade;
Car gets Staal back to end his career where it started and a valuable 30 goal winger. MIn gets NHL ready prospects and pick. I view Zucker for Geekie, McKeown and 2nd. Staal for Saarela and McGinn.

Tor Trade:
Tor gets a RHD, Young (cheap) winger, and cap space. Min gets NHL ready players and prospects. I view it as; Greenway & 4th for Kap & Brown and Spurgeon for Zaitsev, Bracco & 2nd.

Phi Trade;

Fletcher gets players he once coveted. A Great goalie to bridge until Hart is 100% ready for Starter Role and a solid winger. Min gets another 1st (too much?) and some prospects.

Ana Trade;
Could be anyone that needs a serviceable 3rd pairing RHD.

This is my blow it up thoughts to be prepared to surround Kaprizov with good skill and speed in a couple of years.

As a Leafs fan that is a tough deal because it takes a lot of our depth on RW away (Bracco would ideally be Kapanen's replacement). That being said, I think the Leafs would do it. I could see Dubas trying to include Johnsson instead of Kapanen, or another Marlie forward prospect instead of Bracco. I would think they want an opportunity to have extension talks with Spurgeon first though.

I'm not sure Philly makes that move though.

Thanks for your comments. In regards to the Toronto deal, I would look at other prospect instead of Bracco, but I do think Kap would need to be a part of the deal. I wasn't sure about the Philly deal, but they might want a Proven Goalie for a couple of years while the Kid gets some seasoning in the NHL and I think Dubby would be a good mentor, plus Fletcher has some ties to these players

I just don't think they would be including this years first rounder in that trade. I think it's plausible, maybe even likely they trade it, but the value proposition in that trade is pretty skewed IMO. And I honestly could see them signing a UFA goalie (or re-signing one of their own) to split starts with Carter Hart. There's enough goalies that I don't think they need to make that trade.
