That Vancouver trade is bad for Toronto. They won't get much for Zaitsev, but they're not going to have to give up Kap in a deal to move him.

This screams of a bad team. Pretty bad defense with poor puck movement back there and a very weak 9-12th forwards.

Also, come next season, you've got seven starting RFAs and little money to sign them, less than 14mil in space (and oh, yeah, you've lost your defense again with muzzin and tanev as UFAs).

And your best trade (for the leafs) is for Jensen, whos worth more than petan (whos worth nothing), borgman and a 4th
