Description
Both Buffalo and Winnipeg may be underpays. Hopefully taking on Perrault makes it so that we do not have to give up Andersson or Howden, but that is doubtful considering the competition. Also, seeing that Andersson hasn’t done all that much at the NHL level, there is a possibility he is a bust (although he cannot be deemed that quite yet) and if so, trading him as a part of the package for Trouba will not be something we regret. The same thing could apply to Howden if traded, although he has shown that he has what it takes to be a solid center at the NHL level.
I think Buffalo trade is fair, but if not, a prospect going to Buffalo would be fine with me. NYR would give a defensive prospect if necessary, because we have a surplus of those, or take on a cap dump.
As for the Shattenkirk trade, let me know what you think his value is. I honestly just made a guess. Keep in mind that it isn’t necessarily to Anaheim, but to any team who will pay for him that he will agree to go to.
With 7th overall pick, Rangers hopefully draft a center to fill that 2C role in the future if Howden is not able to.

26 year old rental who can net 30 points. Yeah he isnt fetching much. Arent you the one that said just give us a 7th for him last night?

Skinner, as a rental, only got cliff pu (echl prospect), 2nd, 3rd and 6th. Vesey nets a 5th, maybe 4th round pick.

Just turned 26 last month and 35 points not 30 and next year he'll get 45 points cause Rangers sucked big time last year and Vesey was jumping form 4th line to 3rd line to 2nd line from LW to RW. He's only got 3 years in the NHL so not much wear and tear.

A 30 point player covers points 30 to 39.

Rangers moved him around like that partially because he kind of sucks. Sorry man, he doesnt have much value.

He has been in the a 30 point player for 3 years. He is now 26, I would be very surprised if he hit 45 points.

I'm hoping the Sabres let girgensons become an UFA, so yup, 7th round pick value. I would also argue girgensons has more value than vesey, since he can play a defensive role.

So you made my point lol You right away want to put Girgensons over Vesey even with half the points claiming Vesey can't play Def now lol This is why BUF can never make the playoffs is cause all BUF fans over value their players and under value everyone thats not on their team. Rangers can offer Igor Shesterkin, Lias Andersson, 20th overall pick 58th overall pick for BUF 7th overall pick and you'll still say no lol

Na he was moved around a lot cause Rangers was inserting youth into the line up all over the place.

Skinner trade is not a good example. Looking back at it, every one thinks Buffalo finessed Carolina. A better example would be the Zuccarello trade in my opinion, where he gets a 2nd and a 3rd, that will most likely turn into an1st very soon if rumors are true.

I thought the Sabres swindled the Canes on that trade but then I heard the other day that Skinner had some trade protection so Carolina was limited in where they could trade him which lowered the return for him so kind of makes that an unfair comparison.

So when you said it was embarassing to NYR fans, and also said “delete” you thought I was overpaying Buffalo? Lol

I also doubt Kreider signs an extension without playing in Buffalo, but playing with Eichel, Skinner, Dahlin, Middlestadt, and all the other promising young players may make him want to stay.

Gives Sabre’s until February to resign him, if not, they flip Kreider and/or Vesey at the deadline and probably come out with more than they give up, here.

Or, they treat Kreider as a “rental”, and give up less than they probably will in February to acquire an equivalent player.

Kreider is no where near the 7th overall pick. Vesey doesnt even come close to bridging that gap.
