Turris Update

Created by: jws
Team: 2019-20 Nashville Predators
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 17, 2019
Published: Jun. 17, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
NSH radio station interviewed GM David Poile and said he spoke with Turris after the IIHF Worlds and had a “good meeting” and "It was just a bad year, and hopefully he can get that turned around for us next year."

Don’t know what the plan is or how that sounds but that makes me feel like he’s not going anywhere, Subban more than likely to get moved potentially?

Thoughts?

Keeping Turris was always going to be what made most sense. He's a good player, just had an off year.

Who knows with Poile. Think he might stick with these guys unless he gets the value he wants.

I would like to keep turris but we may not have a choice if we want duchene. Duchene could play left wing theoretically

1) Yes, NSH need to save Turris. There's no way to trade him for nothing after unlucky season (it was unlucky season for all team...How many injuries we have?)
2) Yes, it is time to trade PK. But not like that. We need to upgrade 1 forward and add cheap defensmen that can play in our top 4, while(if) Fabbro isn't ready. BUT only for 1 season (i look on Tanev and CGY defenders).
3) We need Duchene. How often NSH had a chance to sign elite UFA, that really want to play here?
4) Looks like we also need to trade Smith or Bonino.
5) And yes, Boyle, we will sign Boyle. MB it will be Bonino-Boyle upgrade, like you made.
If NSH make this moves they will have six +/-stable 50+points forwards and still very good DEF.

I agree with all of this for sure, I didn’t put a lot of thought into this Subban trade though. Just threw it together for sake of discussion more than logic
