Description
Possible set of moves where Blues trade Allen for Reimer. It frees up cap to sign Dzingel. He adds more high end scoring and another PP option.

The only thing that I dont like about it is that the money going to Dzingel makes things hard next year when Schenn, Petro and Dunn need to be re-signed, but a Steen buyout won't hurt too much.

Bringing back most of the RFAs, except Blais. IMO the weakest link among them. I see a lot of Barbashev/Sundqvist deals on here closer to 2 mil, but I think they could be talked into taking a bridge for less, since in 2 years the Blues are gonna have like $20mil of contracts off the books (Bozak, Allen, Steen, Schwartz), and they can get a raise then.

Additional Details:
Panthers need better Goaltending, Blues need cap space. Reimer and Allen have deals of the same length. Allen is paid more, but he is better than any goalie on their roster. Blues sweeten the deal a bit anyways. Allen has shown he can be the guy when he is in the right mental state, going to a more relaxed market like Florida could yield results for him. I think it is a risk Florida is willing to take, they are in a bad spot goalie wise, and that is their main roadblock to contending.

Panthers are trying to shed goalie salary, not gain. Florida wants Bobrovsky. Besides. Allen better than Luongo (when healthy)? No way.

Luongo is certainly not getting any younger, and will probably end up on LTIR for good within 9 months. Admittedly Allen had a better team/defense in front of him, but Luongo is trending in the wrong direction. If FLA strikes out on Bob it becomes more feasible.

if they strike out on Bob they go Lehner. Allen isn't on their radar nor should be because Allen isn't talented enough to win a cup and Florida wants to win
