No disrespect but these are bad trades. You’d be giving up the best player in the trade in Voracek and I think Ratcliffe has more value right now than JP. Sure we’d get the first but it doesn’t justify taking back both manning and gagner.

And no way WPG trades Ehlers for spare parts and the opportunity to move up 9 spots in the draft. Just doesn’t make sense

EDM are giving up the 8th pick. That's very valuable. WPG has the players it needs but needs cap space - they get cheap players to fill the bottom of the roster and the chance to get a player of Ehlers stature in the draft (maybe finally draft the 2nd line centre they need).

We don't know what Ratcliffe will become but I think we Flyers fans are a bit to high on him. He's a good prospect but not a top level. He's also got Frost and Farabee ahead of him. Puljujärvi gets you a RW who could turn out to be excellent but even if not with the 8th overall pick you get someone vastly superior to Ratcliffe who is (benificailly) a few years away.
