You have absolutely zero basis to say it's a lie.

You have zero basis that it’s true.
I have a reasonable theory that the lightning are absolutely circumventing the cap that conveniently happens during their biggest summer cap crunch. Put your bias aside for 1 second. You know they’re cheating. If I were in your shoes I’d own it and say, “ok, we’re cheating, what are you going to do about it”

No, I don't know that they're cheating. You don't either.

Maybe they are, maybe they aren't. But the only official word is that he's injured and on LTIR.
And I believe they are not cheating, unless BriseBois gets proven wrong.

@Hedman77 @BiscuitBakesandHotTaeks

I do not think its fair to say that they are circumventing the cap especially in the case of long serving guys who have respect in Callahan and Brisbois. These guys love the sport and Callahan would probably give a lot to play even just one more season

However, I see where the rage comes in thinking that "oh that's all too convenient"

Yeah it's certainly convenient, but again there is zero evidence that suggests it's cheating.

There’s also zero proof that it’s true lol.
This isn’t a murder trial, you don’t need proof beyond a reasonable doubt to deservedly get crucified in the court of public opinion. There’s just such a small chance it’s a coincidence, it’s so much more likely it’s wink wink nod nod.

If you think they are cheating you don’t know anything about how LTIR works or Callahan as a person or player. First things first Cally would never just retire because of a cap hit, if he could play he’d play and they’d be looking for a trade for him. It’s no secret he’s had a lot of back issues over the past few years. Second, he still counts against the cap. They can go over by his cap hit-space when he’s put on LTIR. That means they cannot accumulate cap during the season for the deadline and it limits who they can call up during the season. While it’s beneficial in that it gives them about 3 mill in wiggle room over a buyout it also hinders them in trying to recover from injuries mid season and makes it almost impossible to fill holes at the deadline. It’s far from a truly ideal situation

I guess every time a team has anything good happen to them, it's cheating.

There is no reason, except for either your dislike for the Lightning or your desire for Point, to say this is cheating.

You are so clueless or blinded by bias it’s unreal.

Regardless, my point is Buffalo should absolutely do the same thing with Okposo.

Why should I care about what callahan has to say about it? He still gets paid, no skin off his back.

?

Convenient is a good word for it. Bettman should look into it for sure because it smells bad.
