Massive Overpay for Aho. Subban and Arvidsson get it done.

Did Sebastian Aho turn into McDavid? Either way, this would not make the Preds roster better.

Aho would be the best forward in Predators history. He’s almost at 100 points last year at 21. He’s worth that contract and he makes Nashville a more serious contender.

except wing depth now bites. Salomaki is not a 3rd liner. Jarnkrok is not a 2nd liner on a real contender.

Ron Hainsey isn’t a 1st pairing defenseman on a “real” contender but he won the Stanley cup with Pittsburgh playing that role....

Aho absolutely deserves that contract, but the trade would be a bit much to stomach for Nashville. The Preds biggest issue is they're currently a one line team. This trade would further cement that lack of depth. They could have a solid regular season, but they would not have what it takes to make a run.

This is a fair point. But I think you’d end up paying Duchene just a mil less but he is not near as good as Aho. I’ll tweak some things.

From a pure player-to-player comparison, I'd much rather have Aho over Duchene. However, acquiring Duchene wouldn't require such drastic moves like parting with our leading goal scorer in Arvidsson and our best offensive prospect in Tolvanen.

I love how you left Subban out of that

Well that all got messy. It was fun though. Good luck Nashville fans.

We have an excess of strong defensemen. Moving him for a goal scoring forward makes sense, so he was sacrificed smile
