Lol... boy that canes trade is horrible. Apparently Dubas offered kapanen and brown for pesce Today but it doesn’t look like canes are biting. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some sort of deal get done in the next couple of days for an RHD.

This is the optimal lineup when Dermott and Hyman come back and obviously it might not be Pesce but any of the solid top 4 RHD available works, and I really like Pesce. Sparks could be gone and if that happens they will sign a guy at a similar cap hit (less than 1mil), but I would give Sparks one more year as a prove it year. Not 100% Hainsey comes back but I'm coming around to that idea and they will probably sign someone like Tyler Ennis last year which would give them an extra scratch. Also I'm okay with Goat splitting time with Petan and rotating the 6th around, even try out 11F -7D maybe.

I wouldn't say it's horrible, might have to retain on Z and idk if the leafs swing another trade with the Canes, but there's a bunch of solid top 4 RHD out there.

It is first class horrible. Like off the charts bad. Absolutely no concept of team needs.

Canes have too many rhd and would like to move one (preferably Faulk and possibly hamilton) for a scoring winger. So we send brown and zaitsev *face palm* and now the canes still have 4 nhl RHD and mckeown ready to move up.

It's still *close enough* in value, a lot of GM's are stupid.

That's not similar at all, what I mean is that the concept of the trade is the type of trade that would be made and it reflects the $$ and roster changes.

That trade for tvr and mckeown I think might work.

We do not make that trade because we have Anderson. They do not make the trade because they have too many rhd. Like I said, there are two teams in every trade. This person is thinking leafs all the way. Same thing for tvr and mckeown probably with no picks and that’s a maybe.

The trade was just to show I wanted to get rid of Brown and Zaitsev as well as pick up a good right handed defenceman for about $4 million. I don't necessarily think that trade would work.

3 months of Marleau for a Roster player or high pick with no retention now we are onto the parade of Zaitsev and parts for a valuable asset. Leaf fans the young Wizard is going to get you Zaitsev and a good asset for a 6th yet again,.
