In order:

Detroit isn't going to take on that much salary for less then a third rounder MINIMUM

Vegas has no interest in Phil after getting Mark Stone and locking him up long term

GMJR basically said after the draft Letang and Geno aren't going anywhere so that is out the window

Ottawa deal is the most plausible one out of the bunch but given Melnyk is a cheapskate owner he would kill the deal most likely imho

Anaheim is rebuilding for the future at this point and literally laugh at that deal given in no reality is Nick Bjugstad worth 2 2s and a Third. At MOST he would fetch a return of a single 2

To think that we would get Tyson Barrie for a 2, an aging Hornqvist, a 4th rounder from a trade that doesn't happen and a Goalie like Jarry is at best laughable. There would need to be a 1 going back to Colorado in this deal instead of the 4th. Everything else MIGHT work in this trade but its still a BIG might.

Given the reports that Colorado is shopping Barrie and looking for a tough forward I'd certainly see what else needs to be added to facilitate a Barrie/Hornqvist swap. It won't be this, but does something like Hornqvist, 1st, and a prospect get the conversation started? I don't really know, but I'd love to see Barrie on the Pens.

See haven't heard that report that they are shopping Barrie. If that is the case and they want a tough power forward and Hornqvist fits their mold then fantastic. But for sure the trade talks would start with a 1 and Hornqvist at minimum and probably expand from there. And while I would love to see Barrie in a Penguin uniform I do believe its important that the Pens as a whole start coveting their first round picks and valuing them a bit higher over the next 5-7 years mostly because as it stands right now we are facing a bottomless pit coming soon if we dont restock WBS

I forget where I saw they were shopping him, and even then who knows if it's true or not. But since it's the off season I'll take every story I read as gospel and speculate from there because it's more fun for me.
