The team looks great, but if I were the Leafs I'd want some more in return for Nylander. Like, if I'm Dubas, I'm treating Nylander's trade value as what is seen from his first two seasons and his international play (as well as obvious potential) rather than last season.

Given Barrie only has one season on his contract before he hits Free Agency, AJ Greer is a nice piece to add, but I think I'd have to ask for more.

Nylander fits the needs of the Avalanche nicely though, and this is quite obviously a contender team.

How can you not take into consideration what Nylander did last year and not have it affect his value? I don't think it has impacted his value significantly but it would be silly to just forget about a whole season where he held out and didn't play the whole time. And when he did play he didn't put up the points he's accustomed to.

If I'm Dubas, I'm not selling when Nylander's trade value is as low as it is, especially for only 1 year before he probably doesn't come back due to cap crunch.
