Description
Technically johnson isnt on as bad of a deal as people say at least for now. Although, its just that with his contract gone the money adds up. The pens are in a situation where they shouldnt get rid of their most expensive guys cuz theyre their best players. So they need to lose the contracts that are somewhere in the middle because who would you rather have? Schultz and Rust for 9 million? Or Crosby for 9 million? Would you rather have Bjugstad and Johnson for 7.3 million? Or Kessel for 6.8 million?

They get a young goalie that can possibly step in as starter but if not then he backs up luongo. They dont want hoffman. No one does. Its why he got traded for nothing at the deadline.

36 goals, 70 pts, 1 year deal at 5 million. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people who wouldn't mind adding that.

Only for cap reasons. He's a solid player. Don't look to much into the drama aspect. There is no evidence of any of that in FL, and FL is one dysfunctional organization.
