I don’t think you’re gonna get that much for Kreider, but otherwise it seems good. You’d probably just get a first or just get bowers

uh its a little more than that.... Scandella is traded for an asset and saves $2M while you rid of a $6.6M contract with longer term and get a good prospect in return while sending down Sobotka to make more room. it makes things work is why its good lol.

ive watched Bowers a little bit and its a fair deal for sure. he's no better than some of their prospects like Timmins or Jost which im sure they'd be willing to part with in order to get a winger like Kreider

the prospect is an unsigned 2017 7th round pick... its much better for next year cap wise tho. Just seems like a lot of garbage back. And is 2m retained worth a 6th round pick? i feel like you are taking a lot of crap and money back when you could just keep Shatty, remove 2m elsewhere on the roster, and hope he has a bounce back year, which means you can get something much better at deadline or next offseason for his final year of deal.

its about making panarin work. there is very little avenue there
