Description

Simmonds is regressing but in 62 games as a Flyer last year (about half of in which the entire team except giroux was putting up very subpar numbers) he recorded 16g-11a. He did not fit in in Nashville, and the rest of the league is more down on him than they should be. I do not see an issue in acquiring him for 2 years if feasible.

I am a big Simmer fan but the guy is done! He is a 4th liner who can be useful on the PP. I would rather trade an asset like a 3rd to VGK and get 1 year of Haula if we don't think both Frost and Farabee won't make it.

Love Simmer but I would much rather a kid get a shot then have a regressing 31 year old in the line up.

2 years 4m is pretty low risk to me. now that we have sanheim on a bridger. provided we can get our boy provy on a bridge deal too
