I think Edmonton says no only because JFK will be in Sweden. I'd imagine they'd want another prospect that can challenge for a roster spot immediately. If you check out my proposal for Puljujarvi, I gave them Zboril and Senyshyn (or Bork). Preferably Zboril and Senyshyn because I think they can use a change of scenery just like Puljujarvi. Zboril is so far down the LHD depth chart, there's not a chance he becomes a regular NHL dman in Boston any time soon

Also there shouldn't be any reason to trade Heinen. Heinen is a very valuable asset and trading him somewhere else to clear cap is not the answer. Trust me man, waiting just one more year of having Backes on the team isn't gonna be all that bad. When they buy him out next offseason, it will be worth the wait rather than giving up valuable assets. Toronto paid a first round pick to get rid of Marleau. They officially set the bar. Don Sweeney luckily loves having first round picks so I already know he won't do that.
