My picks for top rookies for each team-next season

Description
If you feel your team has a better rookie that has a good chance of MAKING the team plus delivering an impact, please comment.

Be aware some teams simply don't have a rookie that will be guaranteed to make the team. For example, Boston Bruins' Jack Studnicka has no guarentee of making the team due to the presence of established players.

I still think Kakko is the favorite to be the top rookie for NYR. Kravtsov is def a good sleeper though

IDK if you would consider Niku, Poolman, and Appleton rookies but they are locks to make the jets

Niku obviously has the most potential but the others are looking good as well

Edit: I see that it is only one prospect per team. NM. Vesalainen isn't necessarily going to make the team so I would place Niku instead. However both are fine really. Great job

Thanks for the input. I'm surprised you feel Vesalainen won't make it, I thought he for sure he'd be ready. ANd yes it was between Niku and Vesalainen for me. However, Niku played 30 games this season and the rules stated that a rookie who's played over 26 games in one season is now considered their rookie year. So I chose Vesalainen

I don't think Foote will play in the NHL next season. I would say 1 more season in Syracuse.

Maybe Volkov?

Thanks for the input. I could see that being reasonable, with Tampa I went with recent draft position, age, and pro experience. That's why I chose Cal Foote especially with guys like Stralman and Girardi more than likely gone. I think he does have a good chance of at least seeing a good amount of NHL time next season

Vesalainen will be fighting with seuss and even shaw for that final roster spot imo. He looks to be ready but his defensive game needs work which may cause Maurice to not play him. He doesn't seem to be committed to defence enough (that's what I say from the limited moose games I have seen). Seuss is good all over the ice and would do well with Lowry. Instead of having vesalainen sit in the press box I think that suess makes it and vesalainen is first call up. Or vesalainen could see a eason like roslovic just did, limited minutes with occasional healthy scratches

I think Texier will perform fantasticaly and I agree with your choice but I feel like Fix-Wolansky could be a surprise breakout this season especially given his over 100 points in the WHL

I'm actually a big fan of Fix-Wolansky's game. He actually has a lot of nasty in his play. I don't see him making Columbus just yet solely because I feel he'll need at least a season to adjust to the Pro level due to his size. He could be one of those players that are too good for the AHL right out of juniors, but not adjusted enough for the NHL. They're gonna polish him to get him ready. I believe he's 5'7 185lbs so he's a thick man haha
