Not sure if the Ducks could put package together to get someone like Aho without offer sheeting the player.

If the Ducks can acquire a RHD through a trade and then sign a Vet like Lovejoy, this team should finish better than they did last year.

If you are rebuilding why are you trading a 23 year old winger who from all accounts is pretty good for a dman with one year left who is 30

The only way we're getting Aho is by offer-sheeting him. If Carolina was going to move him, it wouldn't be for anything that isn't to the 4 x 1st that they'd get through an offer sheet. That's a pretty hefty price to pay when you're in that super-dangerous position of having the potential to either be a playoff team, or a basement team.
