MTL fans are the hardest to get reasonable trades acknowledgements from. I honestly think this a *fair* trade in value, and it meets their needs...

However, Alzner is the piece here that makes it fair, and MTL isn't in any hurry to move him yet. Remove him and Drouin. Lehkonen and a third or fourth is probably a fair assessment for a top 4 defenseman such as Brodin.

tldr; Brodin makes sense on MTL, but Drouin is too high a return.

drouin is an insanely high return for brodin. we need some offense too. brodin bring none. he might skate well, defend well, but we dont need that. we need a legit partner beside weber.

Yeah but guys comen , we get rid of Alzner contract that 3M that would be on Minnesota books for 3 long years .. it's debatable but this trade is anything but Brodin Drouin swap , i dont know a thing about JT Brown im assuming it's a throw in .

much easier to buyout alzner next year. no need to waste high end assets to get rid of him. we arent against the cap. we have a ton of cap space

Yeah but let's say we sign a 10M Duchene and still looking for help on LHD this deal save some cap . idk not sure either , i specially hate to loose Lehkonen .
