one player short and only 250k left league minimm is 750k I believe this year but even if its 500k you dont have the money

Roster is 20 minimum, 23 maximum. Leafs will have to operate with 22 under the $81.5 cap.

Min is $700K and you don;t need to have 23. You can put Dermott and Hyman on LTIR as they will be both be out over a month and recoup some cap that way.

Also Marner is not making over $10M he will be in the $9.5M range. Funny how only Marner is getting an offer sheet making $11M+ going to visit teams etc Got to Love TO media spin.

He will end up at 6 years and $9.5M

Kous, got to agree about the TO media, probably camping out at the airport to see if he is flying anywhere. The number is between 9 and 10.5 depending on term. I used 6 years so that his contract does not renew the same year as Mathews.

He wont sign that long with the leafs if he signs for six years anywhere its over 10m wait and see

Agree. If a bridge of 2 or 3 years, probably 9 to 9.5. I am sure he can pick up a lot of endorsement money in TO, so with the highest taxes in NY he has to get a lot more in the contract.
