I disagree. Comeau at least bring something to the table, by being somewhat useful during PK. Nuke played historically in with 50+ games with 0 goals. It was like he was never on the ice.

Plus the buyout cost is shorter since they had different terms left.

Nah, there was a reason behind it. They didn't want to risk the possible arbitration, might've cost them too much.

I believe they want to sign him at an affordable price. If he wants more money he can go somewhere else. He would be a good addition. Also, they wouldn’t want arbitration to get in the way of signing a big name talent or two
