Canucks Final Moves

Team: 2019-20 Vancouver Canucks
Team Explanation
Trade 1 - Ehlers
- Some kind of move is coming. With the players they have lost, WPG needs some sandpaper and likely a way to move off of Ehlers contract. Him and Baertschi are quite simular IMO. Albeit, Baertschi is coming off an injury, is paid less and does not have term. Calculated risk by both teams. WPG gets shorter term but takes on Sutter (at a discount, they need a replacement for Tanev), Nucks likely get the better play but time will tell.

Trade 2 - Staal and Namestnikov
- Staal is not the same player he was just like Eriksson. Really a wash here minus the extra term that Eriksson has. Namestnikov hasn't worked in NYR and has 1 year left. NYR gets 2 young forwards to help fill out their forward group and gets rid of a D that they don't need anymore. Hockey trade here IMO when you consider NYR's top 9 after this trade.

lol, Ehlers worst season is better than Baertschi's best and he's three years younger. Not remotely similar...

Jets trade is something to laugh at.

Hurricanes trade is more realistic, but there's not a chance they do that move after Staal had a respectable season last year. (Carolina might have done that last offseason)
