Description

Help flames with their cap situation while adding a top pair Defensive D that we can extend. Having to buy out 2 players as a result of the trade nets us a 1st and the buyout hits and Buff's contract are gone by the time Laine needs his big payday. Frolik replaces Tanev on the Checking line and is replaced by Vesalainen next year. Frolik's money goes to Jmo and Hamonic extensions. Samberg slides in and poolman goes to the pressbox.

Copp needs to elect salary arbitration for this to work.

Some just beyond bad ideas here.

-Laine is never signing that, you're just asking for an offer sheet with an offer like that.. Lol
-Essentially trading Roslovic and Pionk for a 1st,no thanks that's pretty terrible, what are you hoping to get with that 1st? Probably another Roslovic, such a pointless trade cause Hamonic is a free agent in 2020 so sign him then without giving up any assets just like so many commenters here said about Trouba.
-Also buying out Perreault drags on dead cap space for way too long so that's a terrible idea cause this lineup as you have it here is in no way winning a cup so you're bringing on dead cap space and giving up controlled assets to 'go for it', this isn't a team that you 'go for it' with.
-That 4th line would see about 4 minutes a night and get destroyed any time it was on.
-Still no center for Laine, until that's figured out the Jets are going nowhere.
-Logan Stanley can barely manage top 4 D minutes in the AHL, he's definitely not ready for them in the NHL.
-Frolik isn't waiving to come back to Winnipeg.
-With all the RFA's the Jets have in 2020 I'm not sure there'd be money for Hamonic anyway but giving up Roslovic to get him which I'm seeing and hearing frequently is just an epically bad idea.
