If you're referring to Beau, he has not shown enough production consistency to be able to demand a larger contract. He often goes through droughts where he disappears, hence why he spent some time in the AHL last year. I like him as a player and would love to keep him around but don't think he has the leverage to go much higher than this. I can't see why anyone would go more than 2.5-3 per year on a bridge deal, as he still needs to show more. This is a completely different case than the Habs with Aho, and I don't think any team would, but if anyone wants to offer sheet him for more than that they can have him. Lou will take the extra cap flexibility and compensation.
