I would bet Svechnikov and Rasmussen start the season in GR. Move Hirose up, Helm up and Abdelkader up, and slot in Ehn and De la Rose on the 4th and I think you're spot on.

I agree and Rasmussen could stay in GR for the better part of the season. He need some confidence after Holland completely screwed up his last year for him. Does signing Nemeth mean Kronwall is going to retire? Blashill did mention AA is going to start the season as the #2 center.

I don't think the Nemeth signing necessarily means Kronner is done. I think we'll just bury Ericsson if need be. I do think Kronwall is done, though.
I remember Blashill saying that but wasn't that before the Filppula signing? Yzerman mentioned the Filppula signing will let AA move back to his natural position at wing. I personally like him better at wing anyways where he can just take off without worrying about so much stuff.

They should've bought Ericsson out 3 or 4 years ago. I remember Ken Daniels, Mickey, Ozzy and Murphy discussing after a game that Detroit down middle was pretty good Larkin, AA, Neilson and Glendening. But that could change in a heart beat. I always liked Filppula Detroit let him go and signed Weiss. Detroit only has 2yrs left on Weiss's buyout.

Weiss was awful. Modano was terrible for us before that. I have my fingers crossed Veleno doesn't wear 90. It's cursed.

I agree fillpula puts AA probably back on the wing. I dont mind rass and zadina and hirose in grand rapids , svechnikov however I want in the top 6 on day 1 and see if this kid can play or if were just wasting our time.
