you acquired Gusev's rights then didn't sign him?

I do like the trade though, it helps Vegas now on the Right side D

Seeing as you have Komarov & Martin, I don't quite understand the Reaves Acquisition though, and I don't really wanna see him leave vegas

Ooops! I completely forgot about signing Gusev one I had acquired him. He's supposed to start out at #3LW.

The objects of this exercise were (1) acquire some offense for the Islanders, (2) acquire a RD for the Golden Knights, and (3) cut some cap for Las Vegas while obtaining a replacement for Cal Clutterbuck.

Isles have Martin, Johnston, Clutterbuck.. do they really need another 4th line bruiser, who's overpaid?

They don't have Clutterbuck.

They want Gusev.

Neither life nor hockey is perfect.

He's on the injured list until at least Christmas, according to the reports I've read. Of course, I hope they are wrong.

As I said, I would love it if those reports were wrong. For my money, Martin-Cizikas-Clutterbuck were the best fourth line in the NHL last season.

I believe that Kuhnhackl subbed for Clutterbuck the 9 regular season games and 1 playoff game he missed.

P.S. I'm assuming that we're talking about his time at RW. He played in 36 games and all 8 games the Islanders contested in the playoffs. My recollection is that when Ladd went down, Beauvillier moved up and Kuhnhackl spent a lot of time at #3LW because despite what CapFriendly says, that's his natural side.
