I know I am not crazy because I have seen multiple times the islanders having another sebastian aho in their team with a very cheap contract and it was not the same guy.

Why did they sign Varly and not Lehner? Same cap hit and Lehner got only 1 year. Just don't understand why Lehner didn't get resigned.

There was apparently a deal on the table for a couple hours $5x2 for Lehner but it was turned down. Not sure how accurate that is though.

Lou went with Varlamov because he's close friends with our top goalie prospect, Ilya Sorokin. He's been in the KHL for a couple seasons now teasing about coming over. I think knowing that he will have Varlamov as his tandem partner will make a big difference. Sucks to lose Robin though
