As a Leafs fan it makes no sense for Edmonton. Though I suppose if they wanted to nuke it getting Marner a decent center a good prospect and a bunch of firsts isn't a bad haul.

From Toronto's point of view I don't think it actually makes sense unless you turn one of Tavares or Matthews into a winger. And even then look what has happened to our third line. Eng all and Marchmont are borderline NHLers at best
