Interesting deal. Fills a need for the jets, but takes away from the C depth for the canucks IMO.

unfortunately no, Horvat is one of the best Centermen in the league and takes the majority of offensive and defensive FOs on tha canucks

I understand that Center as more value than wingers... but! Connor is a 2 season 30G + guy who just turn 22yo.
Horvat + 2nd for Connor IMO

If the Canucks had more depth at C then the move would make a lot of sense, but if you deal Horvat then you expose Petersson and move one of Sutter and Beagle into a top 6 role. Plus they just signed Ferland to add to their wing depth.

The amount of draws Horvat takes is ridiculous compared to the rest of the league. I not saying his skill game makes him a top Center, I'm talking about his two-way game, defensive abilities, Faceoffs...he took 2018 faceoffs last year. He won 1083 (53.7%). That's 2nd in the entire league only behind Ryan O'Reilly (Selke Winner). All while putting up Respectable numbers. Horvat could easily be a 30 Goal guy on top of all that...

DomCholette - Connor with more upside and will continue to produce at a higher rate. But Bo is Van's heart and soul. I can't see them ever flipping Bo, unless it was for a haul. Heavy centremen that play both ways, don't take games off, are hard to come by.

I believe it's like Gallagher in Montreal... it would take a overpay to get him trade out!
