Why do they need Maroon? And why would Maroon leave St Louis? He seems like the guy that would take league min just to stay there.

they need a D, to do get a D, the trade a Foward. It will be between Killorn, Johnson and Palat. The easiest to replace i thought was Killorn by Marron at a cheaper cost. And, why he could leave St-Louis? Yes i know the story with his son, but you know, Tampa is a nice place to live, with a very good team. A little raise, a good term, and he could sign and give some size to this team wich they missed a lot during their series againt Columbus this playoffs.

I really like the Savard trade:2 years, good cap hit, solid player. But i think CBJ says no to this trade. We need to add more.
Also i think Killorn says no as well.(Full NTC)
So we looking at giving up draft picks+ prospects for Savard, or like Rutta.If Colombus wants Rutta. Or Domingue. They just lost Bobrovski so they might need a cheap goalie.
So Rutta+Domingue+maybe 2nd round pick +1 mid tier prospect.And more picks if not enough.
Maybe if we overpay, then they take retention on Savard's cap hit.

The more i think about Savard... omg, Hedman+Savard duo could be the best NHL TOP pair D,offense+defense balance wise. I think this would be the missing piece to make our D in playoffs rock solid. Maybe we give up our 2021 1st round pick to make this deal happen. 2 years is not like 5 for Colombus so they would probably accept a 1st round pick for him. Their future right now is not bright...

Losing Panarin+Duchene+Dzingel+Bobrovski. These 4 players was the reason they were so deep like us, with a top tier goalie. If they're msising next year these 4 guys, they never beat us 4-0 in playoffs...
Thinking back to playoffs this year, i really underestimated them, i think the Lightning staff did the same, huge error. We were confident, because we beat them like 15-3 in regular season in multiple matches. But they were not the same team, they went allin with their TDL signings and it worked just before playoffs. They clicked at the perfect time and we just coasted, everybody thought its an easy 4-1 1st round win... Next year we can't make the same error...

McDonagh-Cernak
Coburn-Sergachev

Schenn = perfect 3rd pairing D replacement, he also can play with Hedman if Sergachev not good enough...
Cal Foote = we can try him out if 2 guys injured
Rutta = alright 3rd liner

Much better than a declining Stralman, or the way too old Girardi...

This is a really good suggestion though(i somehow missed Savard in the last weeks), i looked lot of good RHD's, and i think Savard or Hamonic would be perfect for us.
I think Ristolainen not good enough. That's the name lot of people putting on all kinds of different trades. I think with Ristolainen, we need to pay astronomical price, and it's just not worth it.(i read some other topic buffalo wants out of this world price for him)

I also think Maroon,Justin Williams, or Boyle we should target as cheap under 4 mill UFA's... I hope Maroon comes here, but probably not like Rangsley said.

And yes, i like Raddysh in the lineup as well, i hope Cooper puts him in the lineup next year. Looks like a solid NHL'er in the future. I rather start him the season then replace him with Erne or some other guy , if he is not ready. So yes to Raddysh!

If we can't sign anybody meaningful, with grit, Verheaghe for sure will play this year a lot of games, he had amazing numbers in AHL, look him up!
Joseph had way worse numbers, and Joseph is a regular now I also think we give Volkov a couple of chances in the NHL finally.
