I don’t understand why people want to trade Gudbranson. Since arriving at PIT he’s been playing excellent.

Gudbranson has history of being poor so tough to trust his short time with pens. Likely dependant on being with the right partner (pettersen) which may be fine but risky and limits flexibility. So for 4 sheets he's expendable especially if you can get something od value back

I liked his game last season and the fact he was able to come back and play the rest of the NYI series after going hard into the boards was insane. I just think it's tough to justify paying $4M for a guy who is only going to play bottom 6 hockey. He still has value too which is probably why people are trying to send him out via trade. I'm okay with him staying, but should still be cautious and look for cap space any place they can

I would do all of these trades. I would be happy to keep Horny & Simon this year, but it makes sense long term if that's the case. Not an overpay for Toffoli, think they might be able to get a pick coming back.

Where is the "get something of value back" part of this?

Gagner sucks. He's an AHL level player who's way to slow to play at the NHL level. Or did you forget the penguins skating past him like he couldn't move. There was a reason CBJ sent him packing.

That's a massive over payment on Toffoli. I don't think the Kings want to take JJ back anyway.

I think they can get more for Horny but only if he's willing to waive to go to that team. I see no reason he waives for Buffalo.
