The Ottawa trade seems reasonable but I don't understand the logic behind the Minny deal at all. Why give up two good players on good contracts for one bad player on a really bad contract? Swap out Rask for Zucker with some salary retention by Minny and maybe you have a good deal

Why would you bring in Rask's $4Mx3? You just gave away a 1st to move Johnson and you bring in a worse contract.

And he gave up a top 4 d man and third line winger for it, and didn't get much back along side the Rask contract

i had to dump salary and didnt think they would consider zucker but certainly ask for zucker first.
