I love the idea of clearing out some contracts, and would also like to see what the kids can do. But it's likely only happening with injury call-ups this year. Even after your trade, Pearson and Leivo would be higher on the depth chart than Motte and MacEwen, which isn't a bad thing. If those guys can play with the big boys in a 4th line roll it just strengthens the depth of the roster.
