He will stay and be around 8.5M for 3 to 5 years .. all team can afford for now. . my preference would be to trade Stamkos for a top 4RD, a tough 30 goal scorer and draft picks .. sign Point to 8 year 80M .. and sign 1 to 2 veteran UFAs while trading 1 to 2 shrimps .. MUCH better team but the GM would have to own a pair to actually do anything expect pay Gourde 52M and give girlie man Cooper extension week BEFORE playoffs .. jeesh

Point already turned down an OS from Montreal, He doesn't want to play there. And that garbage doesn't get Point any ways.

We don't even have the Cap space to even sign him with Domi contract coming up. So he can stay in Tampa.
