Getting under the Cap and making final touches on the roster. There is still more work to be done as the roster still has holes but this should be a .500 team that could steal a wild card spot if all goes well.

- Although they really don't prefer to move Kreider, they know they have to make a decision and to be able to obtain a 2C for him that is also in his last RFA deal makes sense. Including Howden makes Detroit more willing to include a 2nd round pick and also clears the roster spot for AA

- Vlad will have to be moved as a cap casualty and buying out Smith makes the most sense since the Rangers most likely would have to include an asset to move him which they don't want to do

- Gusev provides the Rangers with a potential 2nd or 3rd line LW of the future while Lindgren gets moved to clear some of the log jam of LHD prospects the Rangers have

- Ryan Strome becomes a cap casualty

- I accidentally signed Lettieri to a $1mm deal for 2 years but don't know how to reverse it so assume $1mm more in cap space for the Rangers as they will let him walk
